Hi,

i would like to switch aparatus and lights with my vulcan plotter.
Czone is great but really expensive, anyone allready built something similair with arduino ?
I looked on the n2kbus but did not see the obvious pgn like 127501 and 127502 send from the vulcan.

Yachdevices has a 4 way in/output also expensive, loaded their sugested czone config in my vulcan, no result.
the vulcan say the yachtdevice in not online.

i used my arduino due to send messages on the n2knetwork, configured the due that is shows in the device list on the vulcan that it is the yachdevice unit, no result, ill gues it need to send a keep alive or something.

Anyone any thought how to proceed next ? or build something similair ?

Regards,

Sprokkie

Sprokkie,

With regards to the Yacht Devices YDCC not being seen by the Vulcan, did you enter the serial number of your YDCC when you built the CZone configuration file on Yacht Devices' website? Without the serial number correctly entered the CZone dipswitch won't be set correctly.

I'm not sure from what you've written above if you're attempting to control the YDCC using 127501 and 127502 or by trying to replay the CZone commands. I'd strongly recommend using 127502 for control. You can see the PGN construction here: http://www.nmea.org/Assets/july%202010%20nmea2000_v1-301_app_b_pgn_field_list.pdf .

I haven't fully implemented roll your own digital switching but I do have a Raspberry Pi that is connected to a Yacht Devics YDWG that I can use to inject NMEA 2000 commands.

i physically have no ydcc, just an arduino due.
i want to control a arduino or teensy with the plotter, just took the yachtcontrol czone config file to config the vulcan plotter
