I will come out front and tell you that I sell this product. At the same time, I really believe that what we sell, although designed for a home, is ideal for a yacht.
I have a lot of customers who want a Sonos like audio system on their vessel. The ability to control music in different zones with a phone is ideal. The problem is that most systems out there (Sonos, Heos, etc) rely on a stable internet connection to operate properly. In addition, there are regular updates that are required which in turn delays enjoying your music.
<a href=" removed link " target="true">VSSL (yes, pronounced Vessel) is the solution. VSSL works with Airplay 2 and Chromecast, meaning there is no software to download in order to use the product. If you have a reliable internet connection you can stream Pandora Radio, Apple Music, Spotify, etc to an individual zone (cockpit speakers) or to all the speakers on the vessel at the same time. When you do not have a reliable internet connection Airplay 2 and Chromecast will still stream stored (downloaded) music on your mobile device or an <a href=" removed link " target="true">NAS hard drive using an app called <a href=" removed link " target="true">Plex.
Recently, Fusion has made a huge announcement with its new line of Apollo 12v stereos with Airplay 2 built-in. These stereos will work in conjunction with the VSSL amplifier. As an example, you may have a 12v Fusion Apollo on your flybridge, a <a href=" removed link " target="true">VSSL A.3 connected to your stateroom, bow, and cockpit speakers, and all four zones playing the same music. Or the flybridge can be its own selection of music and the other three (or two or one) zones playing something completely different.
I would love to hear any feedback you may have to offer. Have you tried the Fusion Apollo yet?

I recently bought a Fusion MS-RA770 Apollo stereo to replace my Fusion MS-IP700. I loved the idea of having Airplay, bluetooth remotes, and a cleaner installation.
It had a major deal killer for me though. I use bluetooth to pipe audio from my FireTV to my Fusion stereo on my sailboat. With the MS-RA770, bluetooth audio has a 3 second delay. I made sure the software was up to date. Also, I looked in the manual and did see reference to the digital input having a delay and not being suitable for video use. So, this was a no go for me.
I did also find the Airplay disappointing. Despite using an iphone 11 pro for audio playback, having a 802.11ax dual band router, gigabit coaxial ethernet, and the Apollo being very close to the router, the Airplay playback had some digital artifacts. Not massive, but very noticeable to me. I did not use a wired ethernet connection, and instead used the Apollo’s wifi connection. Unfortunately, the Apollo only supports 2.4 ghz wifi and not 5ghz wifi. I would have tried an ethernet connection to see if the artifacts were resolved, but the previously mentioned bluetooth issues made it a non starter for me.
I returned the MS-RA770 and reinstalled my old MS-IP-700 because it suits my needs better.
