I am installing TZT2 BB in my boat and have found that the touch function on my monitors (Litemax) won't work.   The Android based TZT2BB seems to have limited monitor options as Android compatible monitors are not so plentiful.   Or at least its hard to find that information in monitor specs.    Furuno lists four brands (2 are the same monitor), all $6k plus monitors.  Looking for something more reasonable.   Any suggestions?

Hi Don

I am going down the same path us you.  (I installed the new TZT2 BB last month.)  I have it running with a couple Nauticomp 19" display--which are roughly 10 years old.  (No touch)  Working with the updated Furuno keyboard, everything works OK, but I was thinking about adding touch and would like better dimming for night watchs.

$6,000 seesm typical.  Have you connected with Jeff at Furuno?  ([email protected])  He has been a huge help to me as I work my way through all the prep work for the BB install and might have some suggestions.

Thanks Jeremy.  I'll check with Jeff, however I did get some information from Furuno tech help line but they basically gave me the monitor list that was tested.    My installer suggested Seatronx PHT as an option.  Apparently Furuno had the BB running on this monitor at the Miami boat show.   $3000  roughly for 19" normal brightness level.   I'm still working with the Litemax manufacturer on the problem so haven't given up yet.   I'll let you know how it turns out.

You could use a mouse or trackball with the MFD. I personally like that.

https://www.navnet.com/tzt2/en/product/  says it will use a 1080p or lower res HDMI display and uses USB for the touch interface. Make sure your USB is connected up.

The Seatronx look interesting, but unless I am misreading the specs, the "pilot house" version is only 300 nits.  (My Nauticomp displays are 750 and even my laptop is 600.)

Having used the Nauticomps for a couple years now, I wouldn't want to go any lower...

Jeremy, you are correct the PHT series Seatronx is 300nits and I agree that may be low.   Most laptops seem to be 250-300 and I'm wondering what I need in the pilothouse.   The flybridge has the TZT2 15" MFD so I'm fine for the outside application.   Are your Nauticomps in the PH?   I'm replacing sunlight readable VEI units from 2007 so yes, I'm a bit concerned with the lower level of the Seatronix.   They carry a sunlight readable model as well and I may take a look at that.  I spoke to Jeff at Furuno and based on discussions with him I have decided to forget about trying to make the Litemax work.   It's not worth the hassle and no guarantee that it can be adapted to the TZT2.
