Does anyone know if Garmin has dropped the Wi-Fi adapter for those of us with 82XX chartplotters. The product still shows on Garmin's store but you can add it to the shopping cart. Assuming they no longer support the product did anyone figure out how to get the nonWi-Fi chartplotters on a wireless network.

It looks like Garmin discontinued the product leaving those of us with the last generation in the cold regarding a lot of the Active Captain connectivity to mobile devices.

Sorry, Dave, but even if you can find the WiFi adapter, the 82xx is not on the list of Garmin devices compatible with the ActiveCaptain App:

It's hard to quantify, but I think there were some major changes in Garmin MFD hardware and firmware after the 82xx generation, making it quite difficult to modify them for newer features like the app integration.

Thanks Ben. I guess I'll stay with the SD card drill until I decide to upgrade to the 7212. Tough decision since I have 2 8212s now. Maybe replace just one?
