We had Simard Evo 2 on the past boat and it worked well. No complaints.
Switching to the Doppler Dome, NavNet touch, SC30, AIS, etc.
This is the first boat I could decide becuaer it's a new build. A couple reasons I decided to switch:
ARPA, Not Marpa.
Support for legacy equipment.
The salty guys I worked for as a kid in the 70 and 80's had Furuno. Looking around I still the nod goes to Furuno among hard core cruisers.
Again, I think all of these modern systems are really good. Just my ..02.
