Need help have hds12 gen 3 with total scan transducer. Can't differentiate between sharks and tarpon at any angle. I have been on boats that you can clearly tell a tarpon or shark that goes by. Use setting 455 and 200 on sonar. Tried the 800 and both med and high chirp and screen was worse. Should I try another brand or is transducer the problem, or me?

The totalscan "structurescan" side scanning mode only works at 455 & 800.

Echo will work at 200, med/hi Chirp.
