Panbo editor, publisher & chief bottlewasher from 4/2005 until 8/2018, and now pleased to have Ben Stein as a very able publisher, webmaster, and editing colleague. Please don't regard him as an "expert"; he's getting quite old and thinks that "fadiddling fumble-putz" is a more accurate description.

Well the satellites are transmitting corrections, but the question for each device is does your chipset utilize the corrections?
Remember that the Sirf3 chipsets don’t use the WAAS corrections (at least not in the same was as previous chipsets). I powered up an old Garmin Legend, which since I had used in the last few months knew to look for satellite 51, and locked on (producing “D” on each satellite). However, my Sirf3 (Garmin Nuvi 350) device, which locked onto the ranging signal of 48, never has shown any correction indication with new or old satellites.
