More often than I like on system start the heading sensor or radar do not show up. The heading sensor is the most often the problem Rc42. Is there a best start configuration I'm missing? Main unit is an HDS 10 Gen 1 their 3G radar.

Do you have the terminators only on the two ends of the backbone?
Have you tried removing components until it works properly?
Start Configuration :
[Terminator] --- device 1 --- device 2 --- power --- device 3 ---- device 4 --- [Terminator]
[Terminator] --- Compass --- power --- MFD --- [Terminator]
Thank you for responding. I will go back to ensure connection integrity and terminator resistance values. The heading sensor required an adapter cable to get from simrad to my lowrance backbone. In a past life I did a lot of work with devicenet. Very much like N2K but uses 24vdc.
