Four conductor wire for 1" s/s pedestal guard

Vote 0 Votes

Hello-

I have an older sailboat with 1" s/s pedestal guard (read Edson) that is presently crammed full of wiring. I will be pulling out all the old wiring in hopes of cramming even more wiring into said 1" tubing. The wiring I would like to run is four conductor, flexible, stranded, marine grade, probably 22-24 gage. Did I mention "THIN?"

I'm looking for recommendations on a brand name/source for this kind of wire. Have searched on line without a lot of luck so thought I would come to the experts. PS- don't really need 1000'

Thanks very much for your time to reply.
Sincerely
Tim W,

  • I don't have any direct assistance for you on your question.

A suggestion, when your planning your wiring, include nmea-2000 wiring, and if you use radar, consider including an ethernet cable. If your running stw, depth, wind, and other wiring you may also want to consider taking all that existing sensor wiring to a device that converts it to nmea-2000 rather than running it through your pedestal.

  • Ancor makes this cable and provide the best Marine Grade wire and terminals.
