PS: If you have a weakness for gadgets, for goodness sakes never visit Woot.com, especially on Woot Off! days like today. And don’t even consider downloading the Wootalyzer.

Just bought a green laser flare (normally $250 down to $125). I have admired these things and after reading the review on "equiped to survive" I really wanted the green one, but the price was just too high.....not today.

Well, they have jacked the "prices" up over list, and THEN discounted them 50%.
Buyer Beware.

I don't think so, T. But who buys anything online without a price check?

Trust me, this is not a situation where Capn Jacks inflated prices and then gave 50% off. Just look at the stainless steel blender as an example. Normally $99.95 and they are selling it for $49.95. Do a search and everyone else is selling the same exact item between $99.95 and $79.95. Nobody is selling this item for $49.95!! It's Christmas in June. Take advantage!

Check out the prices on Mustang life vests!!! UNBELIEVABLE!

75% off now! I ordered a couple of the Flaty boat cushions last week, received them two days later, and they are very nice. Now I've ordered some of the Gill Coast Light foul weather gear for self and family. Capn Jack's seems to have this gear in all sizes.

This is terrible. I have spent $600 thus far. I can see the remaining goods go fast. Think birthdays and Christmas! I bought assorted items for good friends and will hide them in a closet until I need them.

Wait until you get the shipping notification to see how much you actually spent. I put in four orders and my Sunday evening order just shipped. Only one of the six items was still available.

JonM, I am afraid you are correct. Received shipping notices tonight, indicating that 4 out of about 30 items have shipped! This seems to point to a very poor inventory management system and one reason for why they are liquidating. Oh well, sounded like great deals and would have been nice to get.

Anybody heard from capn jack's in the last few days. I placed an order on Sunday and haven't gotten a shipping notice yet. The website seems to be down today. I was really hoping to get those items I ordered.

I heard from them this morning and they were very responsive, with a few emails back and forth within minutes regarding items that were not available and the available alternatives.
BTW, I bought one of the Float Tech jackets at 50% and love it.

The website is still down.
Also, I just received notification from Capn Jacks that they had none of my items in stock (ordered a week ago). So it looks as if it's over and done with.

So I just got an e-mail from capjack and none of my items were available....bummer! Need to find new Xmas gifts (no big deal) and am now looking for a good (and afordable) onboard wifi solution. I want to mount the radio unit in the LAZ (powered by poe ethernet cable) and put the antenna on top of the radar mast (~15' high quality cable). Don't really want the bulky radio unit on top of the radar mast. Seems like syrens and engenius are the best players. Any suggestions?

I just got that email this morning too, which is weird as we had already exchanged some mail about a color change and other adjustments. What is even stranger is that the mail was filtered into my "spam purgatory" folder, as it had no explicit TO: address.
I got the email, too. 4 pieces of foul weather gear and 3 boat cushions ordered but NOT actually available. All I got from the 75% off sale was some spicy snacks, which I don't really like. Guess I got my just reward for getting you all excited ;-)

PS The worse news, I think, is that Maptech's map server is also down, and has been for a while. That means a number of Panbo links are now dead, which is nothing compared to the various businesses which used Maptech for web charting.
